Paella, the classic Spanish dish was the theme of a recent cooking class, where every participant got to make their very own version.
We began with the preparation of the ingerentients, a chat about what makes a paella the woderful dish that it is, and in particular the type and quality ingerdients that we need to use to get the best result.
Things got quite hot at the stove and the aroma was just amazing...
The work was worth it when we all sat down to a glass of wine, a paella and a crisp garden salad featuring some freshly picked herbs from our newly planted garden (more on the garden soon).
What meal is complete without some dessert, so keeping with the theme, we prepared a Spanish custard (natilla) with a marie biscuit on top - just like I remeber it from my travels...
